Services’ Senior Employment Center operates programs in
41 counties within the state of Ohio. We are the largest

Funding Sources - The Senior Community
Service Employment Program is funded by the Older Americans’
Act under Title V. The actual funds flow through the Department
of Labor to states and national grantees. Mature Services
is one of three state sub-grantees in Ohio and one of 13 national
grantees.
Job Training Programs
Description - Our job training programs include our job clubs for older
workers. Job clubs consist of a three-week job seeking skills course covering
topics such as goal setting, resume development, interviewing, networking,
cold calling and targeting unadvertised jobs. Participants also benefit from
peer support and collaborative job development. The job club service is followed
up with individual employment counseling and case management.
Funding - The job training programs
are funded by the Department of Labor through the Workforce
Investment Act. We have contracts for services in Cuyahoga,
Summit, Hamilton and Franklin counties.
Entrepreneurial Programs
Mature Staffing Systems - Mature
Staffing Systems is a staffing service specializing in mature
workers. We have operated this service continually since 1989.
Mature Workers' Job Fairs - Currently, we operate job fairs in Cleveland and Akron.
The benefits are good publicity, recruitment for our programs and development of new
partnerships with employers.
